Setback for JUI-F: Election Tribunal Cancels Notification of NA-251 Victory

Islamabad: The Election Tribunal has **nullified the victory notification** of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) candidate **Syed Samiullah** from **NA-251**.

Presided over by Justice Muhammad Amir Nawaz Rana, the tribunal directed the **Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP)** to **cancel Samiullah’s victory notification** and order **re-polling at 22 disputed polling stations** in the constituency.

The petition was filed by **Khoshal Kakar**, head of the Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party, alleging **serious irregularities and rigging** during the 2024 general elections in NA-251 (Zhob/Qilla Saifullah/Sharani). The petition sought the disqualification of the JUI-F candidate and his removal as the declared winner.

After hearing the case, the tribunal opted not to disqualify Samiullah outright but instead ordered re-polling at the **22 contentious polling stations**.
