High Court Suspends Permission for Sheikh Rasheed’s Umrah Trip

Lahore: A division bench of the Lahore High Court has suspended a single-judge order that had granted **Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed** permission to go to Saudi Arabia for Umrah.

The decision came after the FIA and passport/immigration authorities filed a petition challenging the permission. A two-judge bench, led by Justice Raza Qureshi and Justice Jawad Hassan, accepted an intra-court appeal against the initial ruling and issued a stay against the Umrah permit.

Sheikh Rasheed has been issued a notice and asked to respond. In the meantime, the court has postponed further hearings indefinitely.

Additionally, a contempt-of-court petition against Sheikh Rasheed has been adjourned until December 2. ([dawnnews.tv][1])
