Bollywood Legend Dharmendra Reportedly Passes Away at 89, Family Yet to Confirm

Mumbai: Indian media has once again reported the death of Bollywood legend Dharmendra, claiming that the actor passed away on November 24 at the age of 89 after a prolonged illness. According to reports, he was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai due to difficulty in breathing.
This is not the first time such news has circulated. Just two weeks ago, Indian media falsely reported Dharmendra’s death after he was hospitalized for breathing issues, which his family strongly denied.
Dharmendra, who began his illustrious career in 1960 with the film *Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere*, gave Bollywood several iconic films over six decades, including *Sholay*, *Yaadon Ki Baaraat*, *Mera Gaon Mera Desh*, and *Phool Aur Patthar*. In recognition of his contribution to Indian cinema, he was awarded the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India in 2012.
Born as Dharmendra Kewal Krishan Deol in Ludhiana, Punjab, he first married Prakash Kaur at the age of 19 and later married actress Hema Malini.
Despite his advancing age, Dharmendra remained active on social media, often sharing videos on farming, healthy living, and positive thinking.
His last film, *Akeli*, is scheduled to release on December 25. Family confirmation regarding his current condition or death has not been provided yet.
