Salma Hasan Reveals Impact of Former Husband on Daughter’s Emotional Health

Karachi: Renowned actress Salma Hasan has shared a deeply personal revelation about the impact of her former marriage on her daughter’s emotional well-being.

Speaking on a morning show, Salma Hasan disclosed that disagreements with her ex-husband, producer Azfar Ali, profoundly affected her daughter Fatima. She recounted that Fatima, only eight months old at the time, began exhibiting unusual behaviors—lying on the floor, tensing her body so tightly that even Salma struggled to lift her, and occasionally holding her breath.

Salma revealed that she consulted several psychologists, but one therapist observed that the root issue was not with the child, but with the mother’s emotional state. Initially skeptical, Salma later realized that Fatima was mirroring the emotional struggles she was experiencing internally.

Salma Hasan is a single mother of Fatima. Her first marriage to actor-producer Azfar Ali ended, in part, due to her subsequent relationship and marriage to Naveen Waqar.

Salma began her acting career with the popular sitcom *Sub Set Hai* and has appeared in numerous hit dramas including *Khaani*, *Baddua*, *Mujhe Pyar Hua Tha*, *Pyar Ke Sadqay*, *Fairy Tale*, *Ishq Murshid*, *Jaan Se Pyara Juni*, and *Bharam*.
