Pakistan Strongly Condemns Indian Defence Minister’s “Baseless and Expansionist” Remarks on Sindh

Pakistan has strongly denounced the Indian Defence Minister’s recent remarks regarding Sindh, terming them baseless, provocative, and reflective of an expansionist mindset.
In a statement, the spokesperson for Pakistan’s Foreign Office said the Indian minister’s comments represent “a dangerous mentality” and constitute an escape from reality. The spokesperson added that such statements violate international law, internationally recognized borders, and the principles of state sovereignty.
The Foreign Office urged the Indian leadership to refrain from issuing inflammatory statements, warning that such rhetoric threatens regional peace and stability.
Pakistan also called on India to ensure the protection of its minorities and hold accountable those who incite violence against them. The spokesperson noted that people in India’s northeastern region continue to suffer from state-backed violence, identity-based oppression, and long-standing deprivation.
The statement further criticized India’s discriminatory policies rooted in religious bias and historical distortion, urging New Delhi to address these systemic issues.
Reaffirming its stance on the Kashmir issue, Pakistan urged India to resolve the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
The spokesperson stressed that Pakistan remains committed to peaceful resolution of all disputes but is equally determined to safeguard its sovereignty and national security.
