Offer Made for Bushra Bibi’s Release, Claims MNA Sher Afzal Marwat

ISLAMABAD: Member of the National Assembly Sher Afzal Marwat has claimed that an offer has been made for the release of Bushra Bibi.
In an interview, Marwat said that similar offers had been made in the past as well, but both the PTI founder and Bushra Bibi had rejected them. He added that former KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur remained powerful during his tenure, and “paid the price for it,” as the PTI leadership preferred “powerless chief ministers like Usman Buzdar.”
Marwat stated that he knows Chief Minister Sohail Afridi personally and believes he will follow any instructions given by the PTI founder. He added that the KP Chief Minister has the authority to transfer officials.
He further claimed that Sohail Afridi visited Adiala Jail seven times but was still denied a meeting each time. “In my view, Sohail Afridi should not go to Adiala Jail anymore. Constantly stopping him is disrespectful to the office of the chief minister,” he said.
Marwat questioned whether a new method was being devised to remove Sohail Afridi. He also criticized the Election Commission, saying it had not yet explained delays in elections. “There have been dramas in elections before, and that is why issuing a warning was necessary,” he said, alleging that the Election Commission was biased against PTI.
He added that political cases against him in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have still not been withdrawn.
