New Police Staion Inaugurated in Turbat; Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch Calls for End to Influence Culture and Full Empowerment of Police

Turbat (Qudrat News) — Former Chief Minister of Balochistan and provincial assembly member Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch inaugurated a new police station in the outskirts of Turbat, in the Jiwani area. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Commissioner Kech Bashir Ahmed Barech, SP Kech Captain Zohaib Mohsin, and Mayor Balkh Sher Qazi.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch stressed the urgent need to empower the police in Balochistan. He highlighted that interference, favoritism, and a weak justice system often allow criminals to escape punishment, and called on the government to provide the police with full powers and adequate resources.

Deputy Commissioner Kech noted that with Turbat’s growing population exceeding 450,000, establishing a second police station was essential to enhance law and order. DPO Kech added that the new Jiwani station would particularly benefit residents of remote areas by providing quicker access to police assistance. Mayor Balkh Sher Qazi assured that adequate staff and equipment would be allocated to ensure the smooth functioning of the new facility.
