Punjab to Reward Citizens for Reporting Illegal Afghan Residents: Uzma Bukhari
LAHORE: Punjab Information Minister Uzma Bukhari has announced that citizens who report illegally residing Afghan nationals in the province will receive cash rewards.
In a statement, the provincial minister said that the ongoing operation against illegal Afghan and other foreign residents is progressing successfully. She revealed that **6,220 Afghan nationals have been repatriated to their home country over the past three weeks**.
Bukhari added that several citizens have already provided accurate information under the *Whistleblower System*, helping authorities take effective action. She assured that the identities of those providing information will be kept confidential.
She further stated that the provincial government remains committed to clearing Punjab of individuals residing without legal documentation, and the repatriation operation continues efficiently.
