Quetta Police Solve Hammad Khan Murder Case; Wife and Former Lover Arrested

Quetta: The mystery behind the killing of **Hammad Khan**, who was shot dead by unidentified assailants a few days ago, has been solved. According to police, the murder was premeditated, with the victim’s wife conspiring with her former lover to carry out the killing.

Police reports state that Hammad Khan was returning home with his wife from a relative’s wedding when unidentified assailants opened fire, critically injuring them. Neighbors immediately rushed him to the Civil Hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries en route. A case under sections 302, 427, and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code was registered by his brother, Zarak Khan, and the investigation was transferred to the Serious Crime Investigation Unit.

Under the supervision of SSP **Imran Qureshi**, a special investigation team was formed, which collected evidence from the crime scene. During the investigation, it emerged that the victim’s wife had admitted to planning the murder with her former lover, coordinating via phone.

Using modern technology and CCTV footage, police arrested the suspects and secured their remand. Further investigation is ongoing. Authorities have urged the public to immediately report any information related to such sensitive cases.
