Four TTP Terror Cell Members Arrested in Islamabad Courthouse Suicide Attack Case

Islamabad: Four members of a Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) / Fitnah-ul-Khawarij terror cell involved in the Islamabad Judicial Complex suicide attack have been arrested, authorities confirmed.
The arrests were made during a joint operation by the Intelligence Bureau Division and the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD).
During interrogation, Sajidullah, also known as “Shina,” who acted as the handler of the suicide bomber, revealed that TTP/Fitnah-ul-Khawarij commander Saeed-ur-Rehman, alias “Dadal,” instructed him via Telegram to carry out the suicide attack in Islamabad to inflict maximum damage on law enforcement agencies.
Sajidullah confessed that Dadal sent him photographs of the suicide bomber, Usman alias “Qari,” who belonged to the Shinwari tribe and was a resident of Achin, Nangarhar, Afghanistan, to facilitate his entry into Pakistan. Upon arriving in Pakistan, Usman was accommodated in a suburb of Islamabad by Sajidullah.
In a joint operation conducted by Intelligence Bureau Division and CTD, four members of the TTP/Fitna al-Khawarij terrorist cell involved in the suicide attack at the Judicial Complex G-11, Islamabad, have been apprehended.

Following Dadal’s instructions from Afghanistan, Sajidullah obtained a suicide vest from Akhun Baba Cemetery in Peshawar and delivered it to Islamabad. On the day of the attack, Sajidullah fitted the vest on the bomber.
Investigations revealed that the TTP/Fitnah-ul-Khawarij leadership in Afghanistan guided the network at every step. The entire terror cell involved in this attack has now been apprehended, including the operational commander and his three associates. Further investigations are ongoing, and additional arrests and revelations are expected.
