Field Marshal Assures Sri Lankan Defence Minister on Security, Says Mohsin Naqvi

**ISLAMABAD (Qudrat Daily):** Interior Minister **Mohsin Naqvi** has confirmed that **Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir** contacted the **Sri Lankan Defence Minister** and assured him of **full security** for the visiting cricket team.

Speaking to the media, Naqvi said that while officials discussed the possibility of the Sri Lankan team returning home, the players **decided to continue their stay in Pakistan**.

He added that **all remaining matches will be played in Rawalpindi**, and **complete security arrangements** have been made for the Sri Lankan team.

Naqvi emphasized the importance of the tour, noting that the decision to proceed was left to the players by the **Sri Lankan president, government, and cricket board**. He said the officials and players were fully briefed on security concerns, and all their reservations were addressed.

“We are grateful to all Sri Lankan players on behalf of the nation. While security arrangements were already strong, we will leave no stone unturned to ensure their safety,” he added.
