Massive Security Measures in Balochistan: Internet Suspended, N-70 Highway Closed, Train Service Halted

**Quetta (Qudrat Daily)** – The **Balochistan government** has imposed extensive security measures across the province amid heightened security concerns. **Mobile phone and internet services have been suspended until November 16**, affecting dozens of districts including Hub, Chaman, Lasbela, Zhob, Qalat, Panjgur, Khuzdar, Kach, Loralai, Sibi, Nushki, Kohlu, Gwadar, and Pishin.
The **N-70 national highway** from Qila Saifullah to Dera Ghazi Khan will remain closed to all transport until **November 14**, while local transport has been exempted. The disruption has caused significant difficulties for students, traders, and journalists, impacting **online education, business activities, and media coverage**.
In Quetta, a **high security alert** has been declared, with **checkpoints increased on all entry and exit routes**. Key government buildings, including the **Balochistan Assembly, High Court, Chief Minister and Governor Houses**, have been reinforced with additional personnel.
The **Jaffer Express train service** will remain suspended until **November 13**, after which it will resume following security clearance. The **Transport Department** has also halted bus, taxi, and private vehicle operations on the highway during this period.
Authorities emphasized that these measures are necessary to **maintain law and order** and prevent any untoward incidents.
