Serious Financial Irregularities in Balochistan Irrigation Department; Rs. 358.252 Million in Dues Unrecovered

**Quetta (Qudrat News)** – A meeting of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) in the Balochistan Provincial Assembly, chaired by Asghar Ali Tarin, reviewed the financial affairs and project implementation of the Irrigation Department.

During the session, it was revealed that between fiscal years 2020-22, various divisions of the Irrigation Department incurred Rs. 68.327 million in unacceptable expenditures due to payments at inflated rates, causing a loss to the public treasury.

The PAC Chairman expressed strong displeasure over the non-recovery of Rs. 358.252 million in dues by the Hub Canal Division. He gave a strict deadline until February for the completion of the Grok Dam project, warning that any unnecessary delays would not be tolerated.
