Drones to Be Used for Medicine and Blood Sample Transport During Hajj

Riyadh:Saudi Arabia will deploy **drones** during the upcoming **Hajj season** to transport **medicines and blood samples**, significantly reducing delivery time.
According to **Health Minister Fahad Al-Jalajel**, traditional vehicles take **1.5 to 3 hours** for such transfers, but **drones** will cut the time to just **5 to 10 minutes**.
The minister added that the initiative aims to **protect pilgrims’ health** and **prevent the spread of infections**.
He further emphasized that **meningitis vaccination** is **mandatory** for all pilgrims, while **additional vaccines** are required for those arriving from certain countries.
