9-Month-Old Afghan Baby Dies from Extreme Cold at Quetta Checkpost

Quetta: A 9-month-old Afghan baby lost his life due to severe cold at the **Bulli Checkpost** in Quetta while returning to Afghanistan from Karachi with his family.

Sources said that the family had to spend the night at the checkpost because of harsh travel conditions. Lacking proper arrangements to protect the child from freezing temperatures, the baby’s condition deteriorated, and he passed away in his mother’s arms.

The child was transferred to a hospital the next morning, but he had already succumbed to the cold. The funeral prayers and burial were conducted at a local cemetery before the family continued their journey back to Afghanistan.
