Pakistani Envoy Meets Senior U.S. State Department Official to Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Ties

Washington: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, met with Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs, S. Pal Kapur, to discuss ways to further enhance Pakistan-U.S. relations and promote mutual prosperity and security.

According to *Express News*, the meeting focused on advancing cooperation between the two nations and exploring strategies to transform the partnership into a stronger economic and strategic relationship.

In a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Assistant Secretary S. Pal Kapur expressed his pleasure at meeting Ambassador Sheikh at the State Department. He stated that both sides discussed moving forward in strengthening Pakistan-U.S. relations and working together toward a more prosperous and secure future.


Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, in his post following the meeting, congratulated Assistant Secretary Kapur on assuming his new responsibilities. He added that the discussion centered on elevating bilateral engagement to build a robust economic and strategic partnership, emphasizing the importance of continued dialogue across areas of mutual interest.
