South Africa Defeat Pakistan by 8 Wickets to Level ODI Series 1–1

**Lahore (Qudrat Daily)** — South Africa defeated Pakistan by **eight wickets** in the second One Day International (ODI) at Faisalabad’s Iqbal Cricket Stadium, leveling the three-match series **1–1**.

After winning the toss and opting to bat first, **Pakistan set a target of 270 runs**, which the **Proteas comfortably chased down in 40.1 overs**, losing only two wickets.

**Quinton de Kock** played a match-winning unbeaten innings of **123 runs**, while **Tony de Zorzi** contributed **76 runs** and **Luan-dre Pretorius** added **46 runs** to secure victory for South Africa. Among Pakistan’s bowlers, **Mohammad Wasim Jr.** and **Faheem Ashraf** picked up one wicket each.

Earlier, Pakistan posted **269 for 9 in 50 overs**, with strong batting performances from **Agha Salman**, **Saem Ayub**, and **Mohammad Nawaz**, all scoring half-centuries. Agha Salman struck **50 off 82 balls**, Nawaz scored **56 off 56 balls** with three fours and three sixes, and Saem Ayub made **53 runs**.

Pakistan made **two changes** to their lineup for this match — **Faheem Ashraf** and **Mohammad Wasim Jr.** replaced **Abrar Ahmed** and **Hasan Nawaz**. South Africa also made two changes to their playing XI.

Pakistan had won the **first ODI**, giving them an early lead in the series. The **third and final ODI** will be played on **November 8** at the same venue in Faisalabad.
