Washington: U.S. President **Donald Trump** has taken a surprising U-turn following the **historic victory of Zohran Mamdani as the new Mayor of New York**, announcing his willingness to cooperate with the newly elected mayor.

Before the election, Trump had **warned that he would withhold federal funding** if Mamdani won, but after the results, his tone changed. Speaking at an event in **Miami**, Trump said, *“A communist has become the mayor of America’s biggest city — let’s see what he does. I want New York to succeed, and we’ll offer him a little bit of help.”*
