Pakistan Needs Systemic Change, Not a Change of Faces: JI Chief Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman

Karachi:Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan chief **Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman** has said that **Pakistan does not need a change of faces, but a change of system** to address the country’s deep-rooted issues.
Addressing a press conference at **Idara Noor-e-Haq** in Karachi, Hafiz Naeem emphasized that **tampering with the Constitution is unacceptable**, stating that the JI **neither accepted the 26th Constitutional Amendment nor will it accept the 27th**.
“The Constitution of Pakistan is a unanimously agreed document, and any attempt to alter its spirit is against the will of the people,” he said.
The JI chief criticized the current electoral framework, saying that **political parties rejected by the public were still given seats in national and provincial assemblies**, and that the **Form-47 system has failed to provide relief or ensure transparency**.
He reiterated his call for **comprehensive electoral and governance reforms** to ensure justice, transparency, and true representation in Pakistan’s democratic system.
