JUI Reviewing NFC Award, Executive Magistrates’ Powers and Population Planning: Warns Against Any Move Undermining Provincial Autonomy

**Quetta (Qudrat Daily):**
The **Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) Balochistan** has announced that it is closely examining all **constitutional and administrative aspects** of the **NFC Award, executive magistrates’ powers, and population planning policies**. In an official statement, the party said it will soon unveil a **comprehensive and decisive strategy** regarding the **proposed 27th Constitutional Amendment**, which it believes poses a serious threat to **provincial autonomy**.

According to the statement, **JUI provincial chief Maulana Abdul Wasey** is in close coordination with **JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman**, and both leaders are deliberating on all **constitutional, political, and provincial issues** with utmost seriousness.

The party emphasized that **JUI has always defended the 18th Amendment, protected provincial rights, and upheld the unconditional implementation of the NFC Award**, even at the cost of political power and interests. The statement warned that **if the 27th Amendment attempts to weaken or roll back the 18th Amendment**, the **JUI will emerge as the strongest and most genuine political resistance** against it.

JUI-Balochistan asserted that it is the **true representative of the people of Balochistan**, committed to fighting for their **constitutional, economic, and political rights**. “We will not remain silent spectators or complicit partners. There will be no compromise, deal, or negotiation over provincial autonomy,” the statement declared.

The party also condemned what it called a **“global agenda” to malign and weaken religious seminaries and mosques**, describing them as the **centers of peace, harmony, and moral guidance**. It said that Western-influenced groups find the message of peace emanating from these institutions “intolerable” and are therefore engaged in **smear campaigns** to discredit them.

JUI-Balochistan cautioned that the **proposed 27th Amendment** represents a **political exploitation and constitutional setback** for smaller provinces, including Balochistan. It described the move as an attempt to **“murder the spirit of the 18th Amendment”** and **dismantle the provincial structure**.

The party concluded that it will **lead political and democratic resistance** at all levels to safeguard **constitutional autonomy, financial equity, the integrity of the NFC Award, and the provincial identity** of Balochistan.
