JUI-F Condemns Forced Evacuation of Mastung Residents, Demands Relief Arrangements

QUETTA:Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Pakistan (JUI-F) Central Secretary General Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri has strongly criticized the government for allegedly forcing residents of Mastung, particularly Khadkocha, to leave their homes without making alternative accommodation arrangements.

He said the government was putting ordinary citizens in distress by ordering them to vacate their homes without providing them with shelter or basic facilities.

“Such treatment and injustice by the government is even worse than the oppression of Hitler,” Haideri said, alleging that the chief minister was sitting in the “Sheesh Mahal” and threatening innocent Baloch people.

He warned that government offices and positions were temporary and that those holding power would ultimately have to live among the same people.

Haideri said he had conveyed the matter to the chief secretary through the National Assembly speaker, informing him that people were being forcibly compelled to leave their homes without any alternative arrangements.

“There are no tents or other basic facilities available for these people,” he said, describing the government’s treatment of the people of Balochistan as unacceptable.

He demanded that instead of forcing Khadkocha residents to leave their homes immediately, the government should first establish a tent settlement at a suitable location, arrange food and drinking water for the affected families, and then relocate them to the temporary settlement.

He stressed that the government must ensure the safety and dignity of the affected population while dealing with the situation.
