Key Meeting on Hanna-Urak Water Crisis: Quetta Commissioner Orders Priority Measures
Provincial Health Minister Bakh Muhammad Kakar Attends; Agreement Reached to Prioritize Dam Construction and Funding

**Quetta (Daily Qudrat):** An important meeting chaired by **Commissioner Quetta Division Shahzaib Khan Kakar** was held to address the **water supply crisis** faced by the residents of **Hanna-Urak**.
The meeting was attended by **Provincial Health Minister Bakh Muhammad Kakar**, **Deputy Commissioner Quetta Mehrullah Badini**, officials from security and irrigation departments, representatives of the **World Bank**, **100 Dams Project**, and **Chairman Hanna Committee Rehmatullah**.
The participants held detailed discussions on various issues, including **continuous water supply**, **improvement of water channels**, **farmers’ concerns**, and the **installation of solar tube wells and pipelines**.
It was decided that **funding for water-related projects** would be ensured on a **priority basis**, and higher authorities would be approached for immediate financial support.
Commissioner Shahzaib Khan Kakar stressed that **drinking water availability** is a crucial public issue and that all possible resources will be utilized for its resolution. He emphasized the need for **dam construction** to **store rainwater** and **raise groundwater levels**, ensuring a stable supply for **agriculture and horticulture**.
Provincial Minister Bakh Muhammad Kakar reaffirmed the government’s commitment to finding a **sustainable solution** to the Hanna-Urak water problems, saying that **joint efforts** with all stakeholders would continue to ensure **long-term water security** for the region.
