HDP Condemns Gas Shortage in Quetta: “Anti-People Officials Imposed on the City

**Quetta (Daily Qudrat):** The Hazara Democratic Party (HDP) has strongly condemned the worsening gas shortage and low pressure in Quetta and surrounding areas as winter approaches, calling the conduct of gas company officials “anti-people and utterly inhumane.”

In an official statement, the party said that several company officers, including the General Manager, do not reside permanently in Quetta and therefore have no understanding of the severe hardships faced by residents in cold regions. The HDP accused the officials of showing complete indifference to the crisis.

The statement emphasized that for residents of Quetta’s cold areas, gas is not merely for cooking but serves as essential heating fuel crucial for the survival of children, the elderly, and the sick.

The party pointed out that **areas such as Alamdar Road and Hazara Town have been suffering from low gas pressure for years**, and despite numerous protests and raising the issue in the assembly, the company has taken no meaningful action.

Expressing disappointment in the “fake representatives” currently sitting in assemblies, the HDP urged genuine political forces and citizens to take action themselves. The party demanded the **immediate restoration of gas supply and improvement in gas pressure** across the city.
