Former Quetta Metropolitan Security Officer Booked for Illegal Land Allotments

Quetta: The **Anti-Corruption Department Balochistan** has registered a formal case against **former Security Officer of Metropolitan Corporation Quetta, Shabbir Alizai**, on charges of **illegally allotting valuable government land**. The action was taken under the strict directives of **Director General Naseebullah Kakar** as part of the department’s ongoing anti-corruption drive.

According to the department’s findings, the accused **misused his official position** to fraudulently allot several **prime properties of the Metropolitan Corporation** to himself and other unauthorized individuals. The inquiry revealed that **Alizai forged documents to transfer high-value plots** located on **Jinnah Road** and **Mekanagi Road** in his own name, and also **illegally allotted another plot on Adalat Road three separate times** through similar fraudulent methods. These actions allegedly caused **significant financial losses to the provincial exchequer**.

Following confirmation of the allegations, a **criminal case** was registered, and a **special investigation team**, led by the Assistant Director of Investigation, has launched a series of **raids to arrest the accused**.

A spokesperson for the Anti-Corruption Department said that **more key revelations are expected** once the suspect is apprehended. The department has also initiated a **wider probe into the involvement of other officials** in questionable land allotments within the Metropolitan Corporation.

Authorities have termed the move a **bold and significant step** in the province’s efforts to **curb corruption and ensure accountability** in public institutions.
