Doctors Are the Backbone of a Healthy Society, Young Physicians Must Become True Healers: Nasrullah Khan Zarey

**Quetta:** Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party’s provincial president, Nasrullah Khan Zarey, has emphasized the vital and foundational role doctors play in society, stating that a healthy and strong community cannot be achieved without their dedicated service. He urged young doctors to uphold the true spirit of being “Maseeha” — real healers — for the people.

Speaking at a reception organized by the Pashtunkhwa Doctors Forum in honor of newly inducted doctors, Zarey said that doctors in Pashtunkhwa have consistently proven their commitment to public service, earning respect through their professional dedication. He added that their contributions to strengthening an ailing and economically struggling society are indispensable.

The event welcomed new doctors and appreciated their enthusiasm for serving the community. Addressing the gathering, Doctors Unit Secretary Dr. Abdul Samad Panezai, Dr. Muzammil Khan, Dr. Shazia Khpalwak, and Dr. Sher Adam Sherani praised the role of Pashtun doctors who, along with their medical responsibilities, have also been actively involved in the Pashtun national movement.

Speakers noted that these doctors have regularly participated in party programs, set up medical camps, and provided free treatment to the poor and needy — efforts they described as a noble service to humanity.

The program saw significant participation from party officials, including Provincial Office Secretary Nida Singar, alongside members and office-bearers of the Doctors Unit. The speakers expressed confidence that young doctors would continue their mission of public service, social welfare, and political awareness, contributing meaningfully to the progress and well-being of Pashtun society.

The event concluded with a dinner in honor of the party leaders and participating doctors.
