New Delhi: Renowned Indian journalist **Rana Ayyub** and her father have reportedly received **death threats** through **international phone numbers and video calls**, according to media reports. The caller allegedly demanded that Ayyub write a column on the **1984 Sikh riots**, warning of dire consequences if she refused.
The **Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ)** has called on Indian authorities to **ensure the immediate safety** of Rana Ayyub and her family. The organization stated that **violence and intimidation against journalists are unacceptable**, urging the government to **identify and arrest those responsible** without delay.
