Balochistan: Seven Killed in Violence and Accidents; Bomb Defused, Newborn Rescued from Bushes

Quetta & Interior Balochistan: At least seven people were killed in separate incidents across Balochistan as law enforcement agencies carried out security and anti-terror operations on Sunday, November 2, 2025.

According to reports, security forces in the Johann sub-tehsil of Kalat successfully defused a 100-kg improvised explosive device (IED) planted under a bridge, averting a major tragedy.

In Kech district, police and the FIA conducted a joint operation and foiled an attempt to smuggle 29 Afghan nationals—including women and children—to Europe via Iran. In separate operations in Kharan and Naseerabad, police arrested a wanted suspect and a proclaimed offender and recovered weapons.

Meanwhile, in Kech’s Bulaida Jarden area, four mutilated bodies of young men who had been missing for a week were recovered. The motive behind their killings is under investigation. In another incident in Tump, unidentified motorcycle-borne gunmen opened fire, killing a young man identified as Abdul Rehman, son of Tariq Noor.

In Bhag Nari, district Kachhi, one person was killed in an armed clash between two tribes over a land dispute, while another man was shot dead and one injured in a firing incident near Rakhni.

Separately, multiple robbery incidents were reported in Dera Murad Jamali and Usta Muhammad, where a motorcycle was snatched and mobile phones worth Rs. 350,000 were stolen from a shop. The victims blocked the National Highway in protest.

In Loralai, police destroyed poppy fields and seized drug paraphernalia during an anti-narcotics operation. Near Sohbatpur, unidentified miscreants set ablaze a farmer’s five-acre paddy field, causing losses worth hundreds of thousands of rupees.

A tragic yet heartwarming incident was reported in Windar, where a newborn baby girl was found alive inside a sack dumped in bushes. The infant was later handed over to a childless couple. Additionally, two people were injured in a motorcycle accident while traveling from Windar to Karachi and were shifted to Karachi for treatment after receiving first aid.
