Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party Prepares for 52nd Death Anniversary of Khan Shaheed Abdul Samad Khan Achakzai

Quetta: The **Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP)** District Quetta Committee held a meeting at the party’s central secretariat under the chairmanship of **Syed Sharf Agha**, the party’s provincial senior vice president and district secretary. The session focused on preparations for the **52nd death anniversary of Khan Shaheed Abdul Samad Khan Achakzai**, scheduled for **December 2, 2025**, and finalized various organizational and mobilization plans.

Party members were directed to **intensify their efforts** to mobilize the public, strengthen organizational meetings, and ensure maximum participation in the upcoming public gathering to honor the legacy of the great leader.

Addressing the meeting, **Central General Secretary Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal**, **Central Secretary Dr. Hamid Khan Achakzai**, **Syed Sharf Agha**, and **Provincial General Secretary Kabir Afghan** paid tribute to Khan Shaheed, recalling his **early political struggle against British colonial rule**.

They said, “Khan Shaheed began his political journey at a very young age against the colonial system. The British inflicted severe hardships and torture upon him, violating not only international laws but also the legal principles of the Indian subcontinent and Pashtoonkhwa.”

The speakers noted that the **democratic and freedom-oriented struggle** of Khan Shaheed and his companions eventually led to the end of British rule. They emphasized that had Pakistan followed **Khan Shaheed’s democratic and people-centric vision** after independence, the country would not be facing its current crises.

They further stated that **Mehmood Khan Achakzai**, recognized as a genuine leader of democratic and national rights across Pakistan, continues to lead the **“Tahaffuz-e-Aeen Pakistan” (Protection of the Constitution) movement**, and that **all democratic forces and citizens must play their role** in supporting this constitutional struggle.

The meeting was attended by **Central Additional Finance Secretary Agha Syed Liaqat Ali**, **Provincial President Abdul Qahar Khan Wadan**, **Provincial Office Secretary Malik Umar Kakar**, **Deputy Secretaries Sardar Idrees Khan Badozai, Soorat Khan Kakar, Hafeez Tareen, and Advocate Hazrat Umar**, along with **committee members Khwaja Khan Sherani, Dr. Qutubuddin Sherani, Azam Sahib, Rishtiyar Mal Sherani, Jalat Zaland, and Ubaidullah Hareefal**.
