President Zardari Urges Freedom for Occupied Kashmir on Gilgit-Baltistan’s 78th Independence Day

Gilgit-Baltistan: On the occasion of Gilgit-Baltistan’s 78th Independence Day, President Dr. Arif Ali Zardari emphasized the urgent need for freedom in occupied Kashmir, citing ongoing atrocities against Muslims and other minorities in India. He praised the people of Gilgit-Baltistan for standing shoulder-to-shoulder with national development and highlighted the region’s rich mineral resources.
The Independence Day ceremony included a parade inspection by President Zardari, who was presented with a traditional cap by the Governor of Gilgit-Baltistan as a mark of honor. Addressing the gathering, the President recalled the sacrifices made by the people of Gilgit-Baltistan to achieve independence on November 1, 1947, paying tribute to those who laid down their lives during the freedom struggle.
President Zardari expressed happiness at witnessing the spirit and participation of the Gilgit-Baltistan community in the celebrations, reaffirming their vital role in the nation’s progress.
