Punjab to Impound Vehicles Without Green Stickers After November 15

Lahore: The Punjab Environment Protection Department has decided to immediately ban all vehicles without green stickers after November 15, 2025.

According to Director General (DG) Environment Dr. Imran Hamid Sheikh, exhaust testing has been made mandatory for all vehicles in Lahore. He said the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Punjab has launched a strict crackdown on pollution-causing vehicles across the province.

Dr. Sheikh stated that after November 15, any vehicle found on the road without an Exhaust Testing System (ETS) certificate or green sticker will be seized. Only vehicles that meet Punjab’s environmental standards will be allowed to operate.

He further warned citizens that emission and noise testing is compulsory for all vehicles, emphasizing that a zero-tolerance policy has been enforced against environment-damaging vehicles. Unverified vehicles will face legal action and confiscation.

The DG added that EPA Punjab has launched its toughest anti-pollution campaign starting from Lahore and urged citizens to complete their exhaust testing immediately to avoid fines and vehicle impoundment.
