No Agreement with PML-N Over Balochistan Government Formation: Shazia Marri

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader **Shazia Marri** has denied reports of any agreement between the **PPP and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)** regarding the formation of a government in **Balochistan**.
In a statement, Marri said that *“there was no agreement about the PML-N forming the government in Balochistan.”* She added that decisions related to the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) should not be made behind closed doors.
She further stated that if PPP members do not attend assembly sessions, the **quorum cannot be completed**, and the **session has to be adjourned**.
Marri revealed that when **Shehbaz Sharif** approached the PPP with his desire to become prime minister, certain understandings were reached. However, she clarified that *“no such agreement existed regarding government formation in Balochistan.”*
She added that during a recent **executive committee meeting**, members expressed reservations about the government’s conduct, and **President Asif Ali Zardari** assured them that all agreed points would be honored.
Earlier, reports suggested that the **PPP and PML-N** had reached a **power-sharing deal** in Balochistan, with each party leading the provincial government for **two and a half years**.
However, PPP leaders have dismissed these claims, saying no such document has ever been shared with them, and reiterated that the **PPP intends to complete its full five-year term** in the province.
