Rawalpindi: Police Officer Among Six Arrested for Torturing and Parading Man Naked; Court Grants Seven-Day Physical Remand

Rawalpindi: In a shocking incident from Gawalmandi, a case involving the **torture and public humiliation of a citizen**—who was allegedly stripped naked, chained, and beaten—has taken a new turn as **one of the six arrested suspects has been identified as a police officer.**
Following the inclusion of **terrorism charges** in the case, the investigation has been handed over to **Inspector Aamir Khalid**, City Circle Investigations Officer. The case also includes sections related to **illegal confinement** and **filming of the victim’s video**.
According to police sources, the six accused have been identified as **Yasir Khan**, **Malik Junaid**, **Zahir Faisal**, **Samar Abbas**, **Ruheel**, and **Rab Nawaz alias Nanha**. Among them, **Yasir Khan** is reportedly a serving police official posted at the **National Police Foundation.**
All six suspects were produced before an **Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC)**, where **Judge Amjad Ali Shah** approved a **seven-day physical remand**. The investigation officer had initially sought a 14-day remand, while the prosecutor supported the plea by stating that the suspects had **stripped, chained, and tortured** the victim in a brutal manner.
The court ordered that the suspects be **presented again on October 31** after completion of the investigation. The accused have been remanded into police custody for further interrogation.
