Pakistan Is Our Red Line; No One Will Be Allowed to Threaten It, Says Nawaz Sharif

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President **Nawaz Sharif** has declared that *“Pakistan is our red line, and no one will be allowed to cast an evil eye on it.”*

He made these remarks during a meeting with **Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif** at his residence in **Jati Umra** on Sunday. According to party sources, **Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz** was also present at the meeting.

During the discussion, both leaders exchanged views on the **overall political situation** in the country. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also briefed Nawaz Sharif on the **recent negotiations between Pakistan and Afghanistan**, emphasizing the government’s commitment to eliminating terrorism and restoring lasting peace.

Nawaz Sharif reiterated that the protection of the motherland is a **sacred duty**, saying, *“We will not allow anyone to look at Pakistan with malicious intent. The sons of the nation are defending the country without regard for their own lives. Pakistan is our red line, and we will make every sacrifice necessary to protect it.”*

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while reaffirming the government’s stance, said that **the complete eradication of terrorism** is essential for lasting peace, adding that **the safety of citizens** remains the government’s top priority.

Interior Minister Briefs PM on Security Situation

Separately, **Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi** met **Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif** in Lahore and briefed him on the current **law and order situation** across the country.

According to a statement issued by the **Prime Minister’s Office**, the premier was also updated on the progress of **ongoing development projects in Islamabad**.

The meeting came a week after the government launched a **police operation** to clear the **Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP)** protest camp in Muridke, which was set up ahead of the group’s planned march toward **Islamabad** to stage a demonstration outside the **U.S. Embassy** in solidarity with Gaza.

During the earlier meeting, Naqvi had informed the prime minister about the **internal security measures** being implemented by the Interior Ministry.


Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif **commended the Interior Ministry’s efforts**, directing that coordinated and effective measures continue to ensure **the protection of citizens’ lives and property**.

Reiterating the government’s resolve, the prime minister stated that **public safety**, **rule of law**, and the **eradication of terrorism** remain among the government’s **highest priorities**.
