ANF Nationwide Crackdown: Drugs Worth Millions Seized, Five Arrested Including a Woman

RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted a series of operations across the country, seizing narcotics worth millions of rupees and arresting five suspects, including a woman.
According to an ANF spokesperson, five separate operations were carried out targeting drug smuggling activities near educational institutions and in various cities. During these operations, the force recovered a total of **136.82 kilograms of narcotics** valued at over **Rs 36.3 million**.
In Islamabad’s Sector H-9, officials seized **380 grams of hashish** from a car near a university. The suspect confessed to selling drugs to students.
At Bacha Khan International Airport in Peshawar, a man and a woman traveling to Sharjah were arrested after **134 heroin-filled capsules (weighing 690 grams)** were recovered from their stomachs.
In other raids, ANF recovered **500 grams of opium** from a passenger at Haji Shah bus stop in Attock, **250 grams of heroin** from a suspect’s bag near Shah Shams Tabrez Toll Plaza in Multan, and a massive **135 kilograms of crystal meth (ice)** from a truck near a factory on CPEC Road in Panjgur.
All suspects have been booked under the **Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997**, and further investigations are underway.
