Sindh Government Announces Two-Day Holiday for Hindu Employees on Diwali
Public Sector Hindu Staff to Observe Holidays on October 20 and 21
Karachi: The Sindh government has announced a **two-day holiday on October 20 and 21** in connection with the Hindu religious festival **Diwali**.
According to a notification issued by the **Services, General Administration, and Coordination Department**, the holidays will apply **only to Hindu employees working in government departments** across the province.
The notification states that all **government, semi-government, autonomous, and local bodies** will grant leave to their Hindu staff members so they may celebrate Diwali with their families on **Monday and Tuesday**.
It further mentions that if any **university, college, or school examinations** are scheduled on these dates, they will be **rescheduled accordingly**. Copies of the notification have been dispatched to all relevant government departments and institutions.
