Pooja Bhatt Reveals How Her Mother Reacted When Mahesh Bhatt Came Home Drunk

Mumbai: Bollywood actress and filmmaker Pooja Bhatt has shared an intriguing childhood memory involving her father, veteran director Mahesh Bhatt, revealing how her mother reacted when he came home intoxicated.

According to Indian media reports, during a recent podcast where Pooja Bhatt invited her father as a guest, the father-daughter duo discussed their careers, family relationships, and personal life experiences.

During the conversation, Pooja recalled an incident from her childhood when Mahesh Bhatt returned home drunk. She said her mother, Kiran Bhatt, locked him out on the balcony to prevent him from entering the house in that condition.

Pooja shared that her mother had stopped her from opening the door, explaining that such behavior should not be encouraged since it had become a frequent occurrence.

She went on to reveal that later, her father sat beside her bed and told her about a woman named Soni, confiding that he was planning to marry her. “I took it as a gesture of trust because he told me about it before he told my mother,” Pooja said.

It is worth mentioning that Mahesh Bhatt has two children, Pooja and Rahul, from his first wife Kiran Bhatt, while his second marriage to actress Soni Razdan produced two daughters, Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt.
