PTI Terms Hafiz Naeem’s Remarks About Imran Khan ‘Malicious and Ridiculous’

Islamabad: The **Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)** has strongly condemned recent remarks made by **Jamaat-e-Islami chief Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman** about **Imran Khan**, calling them *“malicious, baseless, and a bid to please the establishment.”*
In a statement, the **PTI spokesperson** said that *“Hafiz Naeem’s comments reflect political ill will and intellectual slavery.”* The party added that *“remote-controlled politicians deserve nothing but pity for their lack of independent thought.”*
The spokesperson criticized Hafiz Naeem for commenting on *“the faith and integrity of an imprisoned public leader,”* referring to Imran Khan, and reminded him that **PTI had unconditionally supported Jamaat-e-Islami’s Palestine march** just a few months ago.
Reaffirming Imran Khan’s stance, PTI said: *“The founding chairman has always taken a bold and uncompromising position on Palestine, Israel, and subservient rulers. PTI’s statements reflect his vision and ideology.”*
The party further questioned Hafiz Naeem’s silence on **JI Senator Mushtaq Ahmed**, who remains detained in **Israeli custody**, and asked why **no criticism is directed toward Nawaz Sharif’s silence on the same issue**.
Concluding the statement, the PTI spokesperson said: *“The nation knows exactly when and on whose signals remote-controlled politicians speak. Hafiz Naeem should continue serving the institutions—but must refrain from speaking against Imran Khan.”*
