Mumbai: Bollywood superstar **Akshay Kumar** has opened up about a deeply personal and disturbing incident involving his daughter, raising alarm over the growing threat of **cybercrime in India**.

According to Indian media reports, Akshay revealed that a few months ago, during an **online video game**, his daughter was **threatened and pressured by a stranger to share inappropriate photos**.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of **Cyber Awareness Month 2025** in Mumbai, Akshay shared that his daughter immediately informed her mother, **Twinkle Khanna**, and stopped playing the game. “It was a harsh lesson for us as parents,” he said.

The actor expressed grave concern over the rising dangers of cybercrime, saying, “It has become far more dangerous than traditional street crimes. Protecting our children online is now an urgent need.”

Akshay Kumar urged the **Maharashtra Chief Minister and the central government** to take strong measures to safeguard children from online predators. He proposed introducing a **weekly ‘cyber safety period’ in schools from grades seven to ten**, where students could learn about digital risks and safe online practices.

He emphasized, “It’s crucial to teach children how to interact carefully on the internet, especially with strangers, because predators are increasingly targeting innocent young minds through online platforms.”
