Governor KP Calls for All Political Parties to Benefit from Benazir Income Support Program

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has said that all political parties should have access to the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP).
Speaking to the media in Peshawar, the governor stated that if Punjab is receiving external assistance, then Khyber Pakhtunkhwa should also be provided support. “We want every political party to benefit from the Benazir Income Support Program,” he emphasized.
Kundi also voiced opposition to the withdrawal of security from ANP leader Aimal Wali Khan, saying political leaders across the country face serious security threats and deserve proper protection.
Commenting on the National Finance Commission (NFC) Award, the governor said the distribution is not uniform and is based on land area rather than equality.
He further noted that Pakistan must move forward collectively, highlighting that agreements with Saudi Arabia have created new opportunities for development.
Criticizing the provincial government, Kundi said the chief minister’s move to take control of Edwardes College from the governor’s office was inappropriate. “They have already damaged universities and now have their eyes on the funds of Edwardes College,” he added.
