Renowned Pakistani Scholar Bashir Ahmed Siddiq Passes Away After 60 Years of Teaching Quran at Masjid an-Nabawi ﷺ

MADINAH MUNAWWARAH: Maulana Bashir Ahmed Siddiq, a renowned Pakistani-born Quran teacher who devoted six decades to teaching the Holy Quran at Masjid an-Nabawi ﷺ, has passed away.
According to Jamia Ashrafia Lahore’s spokesperson, his funeral prayer was offered at Masjid an-Nabawi ﷺ, led by Imam Sheikh Salah Al-Budair, after which he was laid to rest in Jannat al-Baqi.
Maulana Qari Bashir Ahmed Siddiq, a graduate of Darul Uloom Karachi, had been teaching the Quran in the Prophet’s Mosque for the past 60 years, guiding and inspiring students and visitors from around the world.
Religious scholars and institutions have expressed deep sorrow over his demise, acknowledging his lifelong dedication to Quranic education as a priceless asset for the Muslim Ummah.
The spokesperson noted that Maulana Siddiq dedicated his entire life to the service of the Holy Quran and the teaching of its recitation. His passing is being regarded as a major loss to the scholarly and religious community.
