Suicide Blast Near FC Headquarters in Quetta Leaves 10 Dead, 33 Injured

Quetta:A powerful **suicide bombing** near the **Frontier Corps (FC) Headquarters**, east of Quetta, left **10 people dead** and **33 others injured** on Wednesday. The blast was heard across Model Town and nearby neighborhoods, causing panic in the sensitive area.

According to security officials, the attack was claimed to be the work of **Fitnatul Hindustan**. The suicide bomber, dressed in an FC uniform, was accompanied by **five other militants**. In a swift counter-operation, security forces killed all **six attackers**, including the suicide bomber. Two FC personnel were also injured during the exchange of fire.

Preliminary investigations revealed that **25–30 kilograms of explosives** were used in the blast. Security forces also recovered **15 hand grenades** and heavy weapons from the slain militants.

Balochistan Health Minister **Bakht Muhammad Kakar** confirmed the casualties, stating that five victims died on the spot while another five succumbed to injuries during treatment.

Following the attack, **emergency was declared** at **Civil Hospital Quetta, BMC Hospital, and the Trauma Center**, with all consultants, doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff placed on duty.

Windows of nearby houses and buildings were shattered due to the force of the explosion, and rescue operations are ongoing.
