Pakistan Announces 18-Member Test Squad for South Africa Series

Lahore:The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced an 18-member squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against South Africa under the ICC World Test Championship.

Shan Masood will lead the side, while three new players – Asif Afridi, Faisal Akram, and Rohail Nazir – have been included in the squad. Other members of the team are Aamir Jamal, Abdullah Shafique, Abrar Ahmed, Babar Azam, Hasan Ali, Imam-ul-Haq, Kamran Ghulam, Khurram Shehzad, Mohammad Rizwan (wicketkeeper), Nauman Ali, Sajid Khan, Salman Ali Agha, Saud Shakeel, and Shaheen Afridi.

The first Test will be played at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium from October 12 to 16, followed by the second Test at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from October 20 to 24.

After the Test series, both sides will compete in three T20 Internationals and three One-Day Internationals scheduled between October 28 and November 8. The white-ball squad will be announced separately.

Meanwhile, the players’ training camp has begun under the supervision of head coach Azhar Mahmood and NCA coaches. The camp will continue until October 8, with Asia Cup players joining the squad on October 4.
