FKS Group Acquires PSL’s 7th Team for PKR 1.75 Billion, Hyderabad Selected as Home City

Lahore/Islamabad: In the ongoing auction for two new Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchises held at Jinnah Convention Center, Islamabad, FKS Group has successfully purchased the PSL’s seventh team for PKR 1.75 billion. The team will be based in Hyderabad.

Following Ali Tareen’s withdrawal, a total of nine parties participated in the bidding process. FKS Group confirmed Hyderabad as their team’s home city, with owner Fawad Sarwar stating that he grew up in Hyderabad and wanted the team to represent the city.

The auction continues, and another franchise will soon choose its home city from Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Gilgit, Muzaffarabad, or Sialkot. Pakistan’s first sports channel, Geo Super, is broadcasting the event live.
