Adulterated Milk Scandal Uncovered in Karachi
KARACHI:Authorities have uncovered the sale of **adulterated milk mixed with salt, sugar, detergent, and water** in Karachi.
According to the Commissioner’s spokesperson, **immediate action** has been ordered against those involved in selling contaminated milk. The Commissioner has directed all **Deputy Commissioners** to launch operations in coordination with the **Sindh Food Authority**.
During a briefing, officials revealed that **71 out of 127 milk samples tested positive for adulteration**.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner has also convened a **follow-up meeting on October 1** to review milk prices. The meeting will include representatives from the **Food Department, Livestock Department, Water Board, and other agencies**, where new prices will be determined and implementation of previous decisions will be reviewed.
