Pakistani Fans Go Crazy Over Haris Rauf’s ‘Rafale Celebration’; Videos of Fans Asking for Water and Wristband Go Viral

Dubai: In the high-voltage Asia Cup 2025 Super Four clash between Pakistan and India, fast bowler Haris Rauf’s unique “Rafale crash” celebration stole the spotlight. While Indian fans were left fuming, Pakistani supporters thoroughly enjoyed the fiery response from the pacer.

Videos of Haris Rauf making the symbolic gesture — mimicking the crash of India’s Rafale jets — quickly went viral on social media. Despite Pakistan’s defeat in the match, fans back home celebrated the moment, turning Indian jubilation into frustration online.

Throughout and after the game, Pakistani fans could be heard chanting “Haris, Haris!” at the stadium. Viral clips also showed fans requesting water bottles from the pacer and even asking for his wristband as a keepsake.

**BCCI Lodges Complaint with ICC**
According to Indian media, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has formally written to the ICC, demanding strict action against Haris Rauf and fellow player Sahibzada Farhan. The complaint accuses Rauf of making provocative gestures in response to chants of “Kohli, Kohli” from the stands — including a jet crash motion and a “six-zero” hand sign. Sahibzada Farhan, meanwhile, allegedly celebrated his half-century with a “gunfire” gesture.

The controversy has added fresh heat to an already intense cricketing rivalry, with fans on both sides of the border continuing to debate the players’ actions.
