PPP’s Liaquat Ali Lehri Criticizes Govt Over Unemployment, Law and Order in Balochistan

Quetta:Pakistan Peoples Party’s Parliamentary Secretary **Mir Liaquat Ali Lehri** strongly criticized the provincial government on Tuesday, saying that despite claims of bringing peace and employment, **no practical steps are being taken**.
Speaking on a point of order during the **Balochistan Assembly session**, Lehri said that unemployment continues across the province “from Chaman to Gwadar,” leaving youth disheartened and without opportunities. He added that traders in Quetta are struggling to pay shop rents while transporters who once ran 30 vehicles daily are now limited to only two.
“The government talks of peace and jobs but in reality, nothing is being delivered. Even ministers and members sitting in government are helpless and unable to act,” he remarked.
Lehri warned that if such governance continues, the credibility of the Assembly itself will erode. He urged **President Asif Ali Zardari and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari** to take notice of the situation in Balochistan, saying the people’s trust in the government has already weakened.
He further lamented that unemployment and lawlessness have become widespread, declaring that **PPP’s governance in the province has been ruined under the current system**.
