Court Orders Arrest of Absent PTI Leaders and Workers in Protest Cases

ISLAMABAD: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad has ordered the **arrest and production of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders and workers** who failed to appear in multiple protest-related cases.
Judge **Tahir Abbas Supra** heard the cases against PTI members linked to protests held at various times. During the hearing, PTI leaders **Raja Basharat** and **Wasiq Qayyum** appeared before the court, after which proceedings were adjourned. However, fresh summons were issued for those who remained absent.
The court also issued **arrest warrants** for suspects who have been **repeatedly absent** despite notices.
The pending cases are registered at **Kohsar, Ramna, Noon, and Tarnol police stations**. Hearings have been adjourned as follows:
* Cases at Kohsar, Ramna, Noon, and Tarnol police stations: **September 29**
* Ramna police station cases No. **154 and 155**: **October 3**
* Karachi Company police station case No. **1195**: **October 23**
The cases involve PTI leaders and workers under **terrorism charges** related to protests on **November 26, October 4, and the Faizabad sit-in**.
