Actress Ainy Jaffri Reveals Childhood Experience of Harassment by Domestic Worker
ISLAMABAD: Actress and model Ainy Jaffri has shared a painful childhood experience, revealing that she was subjected to sexual harassment by a domestic servant at a very young age.
Speaking in a podcast video shared on Instagram, Ainy disclosed that when she was just five years old, a cook at her grandparents’ house lured her to the servant quarters with a lollipop and behaved inappropriately.
She said that despite her young age, instead of panicking, she went straight to her mother and told her everything.
Ainy emphasized that she was not sharing this incident for sympathy or fame but to highlight the harsh reality that many children face such abuse yet remain silent out of fear. “It is the perpetrator who should be afraid, not the victim,” she stressed.
She further pointed out that sometimes even familiar or close relatives may be involved in such acts, which is why parents must teach their children what is right and wrong. She urged that children should be encouraged to seek help immediately, whether through words or gestures, if subjected to inappropriate behavior.
The actress also stressed the importance of not staying silent, encouraging victims to speak up, and seek therapy or professional help if needed.
