Pakistan-Saudi Arabia Pact a Dream of Muslim Unity, Says PM’s Adviser Rana Sanaullah

Islamabad:Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah has termed the recently signed Pakistan-Saudi Arabia agreement as the fulfillment of a long-standing dream of Muslim unity, calling it a source of hope and strength for the Islamic world.

Speaking on Geo News program *Jirga*, Rana Sanaullah said Saudi Arabia represents economic power while Pakistan is a nuclear power, and together they emerge as a formidable force. “If Pakistan is attacked, it will be considered an attack on Saudi Arabia, and vice versa,” he stated, adding that the agreement also includes provisions for enhancing defense production.

He expressed pride that other nations now look to Pakistan for defense collaboration, noting: “This pact is a milestone—rarely do such agreements exist outside NATO.”

Dismissing concerns of international opposition, the adviser said, “I don’t think the U.S. will object to this agreement. In fact, it should welcome it because it happened with Pakistan; otherwise, it could have been with China.”

Highlighting Pakistan’s resilience against Indian aggression, Rana Sanaullah reminded that “the world witnessed Pakistan’s firm response when India crossed the line. Our stance was clear: we do not initiate aggression, but any attack will be met with a decisive reply.”

He further stressed that resolving the Kashmir dispute has now become India’s necessity. On domestic politics, the adviser reiterated that PTI was repeatedly urged to sincerely apologize and rectify its conduct, but failed to do so.
