Sindh IG Orders Inquiry Against Four DSPs Over Land Grabbing, Extortion Allegations

Karachi:Inspector General of Sindh Police, Ghulam Nabi Memon, has ordered an inquiry against four Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) on serious allegations including land grabbing, smuggling facilitation, and extortion.
DIG Tanveer Alam Odho has been appointed as the inquiry officer and directed to submit the report by **September 26**.
The officers under investigation are:
* **DSP Sohrab Goth Aurangzeb Khattak** – accused of land grabbing and facilitating smuggling.
* **DSP Kalakot Asif Munir** – accused of extortion from drug dealers and the parking mafia.
* **DSP Kharadar Shabbir Ahmed** – accused of collecting extortion from roadside vendors and tea stalls.
* **DSP Eidgah Zafar Iqbal** – accused of illegal parking rackets and extortion from vendors and hotels.
The inquiry aims to determine the extent of involvement of the officers in these illegal activities, with strict action expected if charges are proven.
